Everyone wants a part of Salman Khan. After all, the actor is known to give success after success these days. And Karan Johar is more than keen to work with the Khan.

It can be remembered that Karan Johar tried very hard - and pulled every string he posiibly could - to get Salman on his show 'Koffee with Karan'. Apparently, Salman Khan was not easily persuaded or convinced and remained faraway from both - the coffee and Karan.

Now, Karan Johar, we hear has managed to get Salman to sign on the dotted line for a film he's producing. To be directed by Rensil D'Silva, Salman, we hear, has given a nod to the project and KJo couldn't be happier.

In fact, if sources are to be believed, he's recommending many directors that they sign Salman in the lead roles if they are looking at commercial profits. Wonder how well will this act of KJo's go down with Shah Rukh Khan, who ultimately isn't a part of Karan's 'Student of the Year' film!

Salman Khan refuses Karan Johar's film

Karan Johar's dream of doing a solo film with Salman Khan stands unrealised as of today.Post Dabangg, Karan and so many others have been wooing Salman to do a solo hero projectfor their banner.

Karan shares a warm equation with the Galaxy Khan just as he does with the Mannat Khan(Shah Rukh) and he has been making visits to Salman's home say sources.

In fact he even sent Rensil D'Silva who directed Kurbaan to Patiala to give Salman a narration for a film to be made for Dharma. However it is said that Salman reportedly didn't approve of the script.

Salman didn't say so in so many words. However Bollywood's hero No 1 confirmed that next year he have Ek Tha Tiger and Sher releasing. He is also likely to start shooting Dabangg-2 from January and may follow it up with Kick.

In other words Salman has no dates to spare for Rensil. Incidentally Salman did an interesting cameo in Karan Johar's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, where he plays Kajol's fiancee.

Post that he hasn't found time for another Dharma project.

No SRK, Karan wants Salman!

The last time Salman Khan worked on a Dharma Productions' film was in the college love saga Kuch Kuch Hota Hai way back in 1998.

After thirteen years, a bad fight with Dharma loyalist Shah Rukh and a couple of comeback hits Wanted and Dabangg, the original bad boy of Bollywood seems to have got a second chance with Karan Johar's production house.

The ice probably broke when KJo asked Salman to be a part of his talk show. The actor agreed to do so for a price, they had to make a donation to his foundation. Though the filmmaker denied paying up for a celebrity on his show back then, he approached the Khan for the next Dharma venture to be directed by Rensil D'Silva.

Considering KJo's association with his favourite Shah Rukh and Salman's disassociation with the King Khan, this piece of news should have been surprising. However, with the filmmaker stretching his professional interests beyond his favourite Khan with Varun Dhawan starring in his next directorial venture Student Of The Year, the filmmaker approaching the other Khan becomes understandable.

According to a source, "After Kurbaan, Rensil is directing a fantasy-action caper on the lines of Ocean's Eleven. When Karan Johar heard the script, he absolutely fell in love with it. Both Karan and Rensil felt Salman was perfect for the main part."

However, even after repeated attempts, Rensil D'Silva remained unavailable for comment.

No Koffee for KJo, Salman

Karan Johar is shooting his finale episode of Koffee With Karan. And it won't be Salman Khan as planned. KJo has decided that much as he wants the actor on that couch, he doesn't want to pay him to be a guest on his chat show.

Says a friend of the filmmakers, "He is happy to give any amount of money to Salman's charity, but he doesn't want it to be a condition for him to come on the show.

Salman to appear in KJo's show

Karan Johar is wooing Salman Khan. And has succeeded to an extent. It is learnt that the actor has agreed to be part of Karan's TV show in its third season.

The last time KJo asked him to sit on the infamous couch, the actor said he would do it only if he was given Rs 50 lakh for his charity foundation. The My Name Is Khan director told him that the channel wouldn't pay but he would be happy to shell out the money from his own pocket. However, the talks fizzled out.

Now KJo who is shooting the final few episodes for this season, asked Salman for the last time if he would appear on the show, and the temperamental actor said he would do it, and also gave temporary dates for the shoot, either 30th or 31st March. Apparently, Karan and the channel have donated over Rs 50 lakh to Salman's charity foundation. Incidentally, no other guest on the show has been paid for making an appearance.

According to sources, the filmmaker has also offered a role to the actor, which he is considering. This is interesting because so far Khan who lives in Galaxy has been wary of Karan because of his friendship to the Khan who lives in Mannat. Now that the director has managed to get Sallu to say yes to the show, and a 'maybe' to the film, next step is a patch between the warring Khans? Let's hope so.

Hrithik shoots back at Salman

On his 'happy' birthday a few days ago, Hrithik Roshan was truly exultant.

He seemed to be blissfully content and in a mood to forgive and forget, which is why he reacted to Salman Khan calling him a "child", in an oddly calm tone. Hrithik said, "Salman must have said it with affection. And I don't think there is anything wrong in being a child," (Mumbai Mirror, January 10, 2011).

But things are not always what they seem on the surface. Hrithik's passivity was, as it appears, only a garb. Recently, Hrithik and his wife Sussanne shot with Karan Johar for an episode of Koffee with Karan.

On the show, Hrithik shot back at Sallu by saying, "Salman thinks that the world is conspiring against him, but that's not true. We all love him." He further added, "I don't want to use this as a medium to comment on Salman."

Naturally, a few things between the two actors are still not over and buried. We wonder what Sallu has to say about Hrithik's latest comment but unfortunately, both Duggu and he did not revert on this. Call it instinct, but Sallu just might. So, watch this space for more.
