Siddharth Malhotra raves about his stars

Siddharth Malhotra, who is making his directorial debut with the Karan Johar-produced 'We Are Family', is excited about the film. He says that it's rare to work with the two biggest actresses from their generation, namely Kajol and Kareena Kapoor.


Siddharth can't stop raving about Kareena's performance in the film. He says, "She has surpassed Julia Robert's performance from the original film. However, since she is my cousin, it was difficult to convince her to work in the film."

He also praises Kajol's performance. "It's great to know that despite her acting in fewer movies today, Kajol still has a huge fanbase. It was a pleasure working with both of them. They are so dedicated and humble and so professional about their work, it's a lesson for all of us," adds Siddharth

On how he and Kareena are related, Siddharth says that Krishna Raj Kapoor, who is Kareena's grandmother and actor Premnath, who is his father, are siblings. "We've practically grown up together," adds Siddharth.

We are Family is all set to release on 3rd September of this year.
